The 2023 Philadelphia Area Fling Schedule is here!

It's hard to believe that in one month we'll be coming together from twenty-six States and four countries to sample what America's Garden Capital has to offer. The diverse range of private gardens we'll see represents design, plantsmanship and whimsy from small to large in size. There's something for everyone here and I'm thrilled to share it with you.

Thursday September 21

12pm Busses depart Embassy Suites PHL airport

12:30 Busses pickup at Fling Hotel (Hampton Inn & Suite, Media)

1pm Busses arrive at Longwood Gardens production facility and receive name badges. If you're driving click here!

2:30pm Busses transfer to Longwood’s Visitor’s Center

6-8pm Dinner at Longwood’s Beer Garden sponsored by Longwood Gardens

8:15pm Illuminated Fountain Performance. If you want to leave early then Uber is your best option.

9pm Busses depart for Fling Hotel, Media with a special gift upon loading.

Friday September 22

8am Busses split & depart Fling Hotel for Andrew Bunting’s Belvidere & Charles Cresson’s Hedgleigh Spring in Swarthmore, PA. (30 mins each)

10am Both busses arrive at Michael Bowell & Simple’s Create a Scene in Malvern, PA (45 mins)

12pm Both busses arrive at Wegman’s Café in Malvern, PA for lunch. (1 hour)

1:30pm Both busses arrive at Carol Verhake’s Lasting Landscapes in Berwyn, PA. (45 minutes)

3pm Both busses arrive at Chanticleer for a visit, dinner & music sponsored by Chanticleer (3 hours)

6:30pm Both busses arrive at Fling Hotel, Media

Saturday September 23

8am Busses split for John Lonsdale’s Edgewood in Exton, PA and David L. Culp’s Brandywine Cottage in Downingtown, PA (45 minutes each)

10:45am Both busses arrive at Wayne Guymon’s WynEden in Chadds Ford, PA. Includes a pop-up sponsored by Monrovia. (1 hour)

12pm Busses split between Terrain and Wegman’s Café Glen Mills, PA for lunch (1 hour each)

2:30pm Both busses arrive at Steve & Ann Hutton’s Owl Creek Farm in West Chester, PA (1 hour)

4:15pm Both busses arrive at Stoneleigh, A Natural Garden for a visit, dinner, and presentation of The Fling 2024 in Seattle

8:30pm Both busses arrive at The Fling Hotel, Media

Sunday September 24

8am Busses split for Elise duPont’s Patterns in Rockland, DE and Beverley & Walter Rowland’s Highlands in Wilmington, DE (45 minutes each)

11:30am Both busses arrive at Jenny Rose Carey’s Northview for a visit and lunch (2 hours)

2pm Busses split for Barbara Tiffany’s MillFleurs in Pont Pleasant, PA and Bruce Gangawer’s Paxson Hill Farm in New Hope, PA (1 hour each)

5pm Both busses arrive at Peddler’s Village for a garden wander, shopping and dinner on your own.

9pm Both busses arrive at The Fling Hotel, Media with memories to last a lifetime!
