Our goal is to immerse you in Memphis’s rich garden landscape, from cozy plots in historic neighborhoods to grand suburban estates, professionally designed landscapes, and lush public parks, including the award-winning riverfront park. Expect a lineup of gardens packed with Southern charm as we tour Downtown, Midtown’s classic neighborhoods like Central Gardens and Lenox, and the community-focused beauty of Cooper-Young. The adventure continues eastward to explore spectacular spaces in East Memphis, Bartlett, and Germantown, including a local flower farm and the nation’s largest bonsai-growing facility.
Southern Hospitality & Unforgettable Food
No fling would be complete without a true taste of Southern hospitality! Savor it all: from a coffee bar and pastries at the Memphis Botanic Garden to a cocktail party at the Dixon Museum, a Saturday night reception at the Italianate Annesdale Mansion, and a delightful farm-to-table lunch at a flower farm. Think Memphis BBQ, fried chicken, delectable sides, and indulgent Southern desserts! (Vegans, we have you covered). Note: The Double Tree has a restaurant on site for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks.
Optional Cooper-Young Day: Monday, June 9
For those who want even more, we’ve arranged an optional day to explore the charming, tree-lined streets of vibrant Cooper-Young. Your hosts, Sharron Johnson and Kim Halyak, are eager to introduce you to their neighborhood’s eclectic style and spirit. Tour quaint shotgun gardens and elegant Queen Anne landscapes, explore the area’s 23 restaurants, brewery, shops, and galleries, and use your restaurant vouchers for a leisurely meal with fellow flingers.
